American Idol Season 7 Top 20

So tonight there are more cuts. As far as I am concerned they should just declare David Archuleta the winner right now, and get ready for next season. David can just flat out sing. It doesn't hurt that he seems to have a very high likability factor.

Here are my predictions for who is going home tonight.

Top: Jason Yeager & Kady Malloy
Bottom: Amanda Overmeyer & Robbie Carrico

Once Again, It's On!!!

Yes. It is that time of year. Once again American Idol is upon us, and it is time for me to make my weekly predictions, and comments. Season 7 has promised us that this year the talent is even greater and that we are in for a real treat, but I have to say after Tuesday night and Wednesday night I would have to disagree. The talent did not seem that great. I know there will be improvement and I look forward to it.

My early favorites are David Archuleta, Carly Smithson. I am also pulling for Asia'h Epperson because of what she has gone through lately wit the loss of her father.

Here are my predictions for who is going home tonight.

Top Row:Amy Davis & Luke Menard
Bottom Row:Chikezie & Joanne Borgella

Drake Thomas Bastron

Our son was born today at 1:36 pm. His name is Drake Thomas Bastron. He weighs 6.5 pounds and is 21 inches long.

Brittany is doing great and was amazing once again. She is sleeping soundly as I write this. I am so blessed to have such an amazing wife.

We want to thank everyone who has been praying for us and this delivery. We are very excited, and incredibly humbled by the fact that God has once again entrusted us with another child. We ask for your prayers as we get ready for another great adventure with Drake. Our hearts desire is that Drake would come to know Jesus Christ in a real and intimate way, and would serve Christ all the days of his life.

We look forward to celebrating the new life with all of you.

Baby Update

Brittany and I are headed to the hospital here in the next hour for our scheduled C- section. The C-section is scheduled for 1 pm. Please keep us in your prayers. I will update you all soon.

We will have our son soon. Yahoo!

Colbie Caillat:Magic

Butter. That is all I can say. Butter! I have written about Colbie before. If you have not purchased the album yet, you need to run to the store or computer and purchase it right now. Enjoy this clip. It is just a little glimpse of her silkiness.

Cinderella Boy

Why can I watch this clip 100 times and still laugh everytime? When Bill Murray says he has about 350 yards left, and he is going to use a 5 iron I just lose it. It is too funny.

What are you thoughts on Caddyshack? What are some of your favorite movie clips of all times?

OJ

OJ was arrested? NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! It could not be. The glove did not fit. The glove did not fit.

OJ has a temper? What? Little did we know when he was filming those old commercials of him running through the airport, jumping over luggage that it was a flash in to the future of how he would be trying to run away from the law.

Have fun in jail OJ.

Details and My Daughter's Love For Me

Yesterday while I was at work my new Details magazine came in the mail. This month the cover has a picture of Brat Pitt. Brittany and London (my daughter who is 17 months old) went to the mailbox to get the mail for the day. As they looked at it, London pointed to the picture of Brad Pitt and said "Daddy".

Wow, does she love me or what? When I heard the story, I just had to give her a big hug and say thanks.
I have to go now and make an appointment for London to get her eyes checked.

Quote Of The Week

"The true test of a first-rate mind is the ability to hold two contradictory ideas at the same time."

-F. Scott Fitzgerald

What are your thoughts on that quote?

Anyone looking for some info on who F. Scott Fitzgerald was, you can find a little of it here.

I also would like to recommend that you read his book "The Great Gatsby". It is one of my favorites.

Mayhem in Minneapolis

I have traveled over this bridge a hundred times or so. When I caught wind of this tragedy a knot instantly hit my stomach. I have friends and family that live there and I knew that they cross over this bridge often.

My initial calls to family and friends found answering machines which increased my heart rate and caused me to feel a little sick to my stomach. After an hour or so of calling I finally reached them and I calmed a bit. However, my stomach was still sick for the people I knew had been involved and for the people who I knew would now be missing a friend or loved one. I could only imagine the people that were trapped under the piles of concrete or the people that would have plunged in to the water. Being trapped in a car as it sinks in to water is one of my greatest fears.

Twenty people or so are still missing from this tragedy. If you have any family members or friends that are still missing or know of anybody that was a part of this awful tragedy feel free to use the comment section here as a board for communication.

If you were there and witnessed it or were a part of it, please write a description of what all went down.

My prayers go out to anyone who has lost someone in this accident or is still missing someone.

Colbie Caillat

Recently I came across a new artist. Her name is Colbie Caillat and her new ablum is Coco. Her voice is as smooth as velvet and I highly recommend that you go and get the album.

This singer-songwriter is 22 years old and in my opinion has a great career ahead of her. He California good looks and attitude shine through in her music, and make it a very pleasant listen. Her song Bubbly is an upbeat song with a simple yet very catchy lyric and melody.

Check it out here.

Ode To 90210

When I was in high school I was all about the TV show 90210. Luke Perry's character was the coolest. This song is my tribute to 90210. Enjoy, all you fellow 90210 fans.
