Tim Sanders has an interesting post on The Likeability Factor and how it not only helps with business effectiveness, but apparently with American Idol.
This was interesting to me: "As with life, this is a talent-sensitive popularity contest." As a last-picked-for-the-team kid, that feels somewhat discouraging. And I'm not sure I agree with it anyway. There are plenty of successful people around who are not "emotionally attractive." Hmmm . . .maybe I'm confusing the idea of emotionally attractive with the idea of nice. I suppose it's possible to be attracted to "bad" people. My high school year book would prove it.
